Medallion Bowl, 7”x16”x16” Wheel-thrown, reduction fired Proto-porcelain with local stone glaze
Statement
I make functional pottery out of a domestic proto-porcelain that I designed and produce at the studio. I incorporate local raw materials into the work which creates a unique chemistry between myself, clay, and glaze, be it wood ash from the fireplace or rock dust from the quarry.
